Local woman hurt after being thrown from motorcycle

(WARRENSBURG, Mo., digitalBURG) – A Warrensburg woman was injured during a motorcycle accident Sunday evening on U.S. 50 at the Missouri Route 13 off-ramp, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Dustin M. Current, 28, of Warrensburg, was westbound as he traveled off the right side of the road at the off-ramp to the Route 13 bypass. His motorcycle traveled down an embankment, ejecting Alleena M. Burke, 39, according to Highway Patrol reports.
The vehicle continued traveling through the median and returned to the roadway. Once the vehicle came to a stop, Current returned to where Burke was ejected, according to Highway Patrol reports.
Burke suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
