Broken sewer main fixed near Northfield

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – The broken sewer main near the Northfield neighborhood was repaired Monday.
The Public Works Department, with the assistance of JC Myers Construction Co., fixed the broken sewer main located between U.S. 50 and Russell St., according to a news release.
Final reconnection was completed Monday by 4:45 p.m. on the 12-inch sewer main that was washed out of the creek bank by recent heavy rains. The crew returned Tuesday morning to continue covering the exposed line.
Heavy concrete riprap will be placed along the adjacent stream bank for reinforcement and to prevent future erosion under the sewer main, according to the news release.
