Volunteers sought for annual homeless count

(Johnson County, Mo., digitalBURG) — The annual homeless count in Johnson County is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 30, and is sponsored by Johnson County Cares.
The group is seeking volunteers to help canvass the county during the homeless count.
Two days of training are scheduled for 10-11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, and 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30 in the Jack Moore Community Room, 100 S. Holden (inside the train station).
The canvass is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30.
The homeless count will impact funding decisions for additional services and strategic planning for the next three to five years, according to a news release.
