Man charged with hitting 2 Kansas City officers

(KANSAS CITY, Mo., AP) — Authorities say a 54-year-old man has been charged with hitting two Kansas City police officers in an attack that left one of the officers with a concussion.
Prosecutors announced Monday that John Ross, of Kansas City, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault of a law enforcement officer and third-degree assault. Bond has been set at $35,000. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.
Court records say the attack happened last week when the officers attempted to intervene after observing Ross hit and head butt a woman. The woman said she didn’t know Ross and that he began assaulting her because he thought she had his “stuff.”
Court records say that besides hitting both officers, Ross also bit one of the officers on the hand.
