Western Missouri Medical Center Board of Trustees member Kit Lindsay resigned his position Thursday, according to a news release.
Lindsay reported he is ineligible to serve on the board due to a recent address change.
The Johnson County commissioners will appoint someone to fill Lindsay’s position on the board. The person who is appointed will serve on the board until the next general election, according to the news release.
“We’d like to thank Mr. Lindsay for his outstanding service and commitment to Western Missouri Medical Center,” said Susan M. Stiles, president and chief executive officer of the hospital, in a written statement. “He has been an incredible ambassador in our community, promoting our vision for the future – we’re sorry to see him go, but we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
