Tigers golf takes first in Kansas City

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) — The Warrensburg Tigers golf team came in first place at a recent competition at Minor Park (par 35) hosted by conference opponent O’Hara with St. Pius X.
The Tigers won the team portion of the match shooting a season low score of 156.
St. Pius X was second with 168 and O’Hara third with 192.
The match medalist was Ian Schneider from St. Pius who shot 36. JD Pedersen was second and low score for the Tigers with his best score in a match this season at 37.
Stuart Duncan and Bailey Woods both shot 39 and Hagan Zinecker fired a 41.
“Minor Park is a very short course for us to play,” said coach Guy Albert in a news release. “You have to have a solid wedge game to score as you hit wedge into most of greens. JD’s hard work in practice is starting to show as he has really lowered his average this year.”
