Inmate escapes from NW Mo. jail

(KINGSTON, Mo., AP) — Authorities in northwest Missouri are searching for an inmate who escaped from the Caldwell County Detention Center.
Columbia police say in a release that 23-year-old Brian James Adkison escaped early Sunday from the Caldwell County jail in Kingston, where he was being held on kidnapping and other charges.
Police say Adkison is considered dangerous and has been known to frequent the Columbia area, but there is no local address for him.
