Mules Golf earns bid to NCAA Super Regional

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – The Central Missouri Mules golf team has been selected to play in the NCAA-II Central/Midwest Super Regional May 6-8 at The Club at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha, Wis.
UCM is the No. 3 seed out of the Central Region after placing second at the MIAA Championships last week and finishing second in the season-long MIAA standings.
MIAA Champion Central Oklahoma is the top seed in the Central Region followed by Southwestern Oklahoma State, UCM, Washburn is the fourth seed and Northeastern State is seeded fifth. Fellow MIAA member Nebraska-Kearney is the No. 8 seed. Missouri-St. Louis is the top seed out of the Midwest Region.
The Central and Midwest Regions have been paired to create a 20-team super regional. The tournament will be played at The Club at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha, Wis.
At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the national championship tournament May 20-24, at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pa. The fourth and fifth place teams from both the Central and Midwest Regional and from the South Central and West Regional will advance to the finals. From the South and Southeast Regional, the teams placing fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh will also advance to the finals.
The finals will be hosted by Millersville University at the East Course at Hershey Country Club.
