Mules Golf finishes as runner-up at Missouri Southern Invitational

(JOPLIN, Mo.) – The Central Missouri Mules Golf team fired a two-round total of 25-over par, 601 and finished in second place at the Missouri Southern Invitational at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club on Tuesday. Central Oklahoma won the team title with a team score of 14-over par, 590.
Sam Migdal was the highest placing Mule in a tie for fifth place with a two-round score of four-over par 148. Cy Moritz finished in a tie for ninth place with a six-over par score of 150. Travis Mays was one shot back in a tie for 11th at seven-over par. Teddy Jones finished another shot back at 152, eight-over, in 14th place. Robby Hughey shot a 160 (+16) and finished in a tie for 45th place.
Central Oklahoma captured the team title, 11 shots ahead of the Mules, and also had the individual medalist with Trevor Stafford firing a four-under par 140 to claim top honors.
The Mules are back in action next Monday and Tuesday, April 22-23 at the MIAA Championship Tournament at The Outlaw Golf Club in Smithville, Mo.
