James D. Gillispie

James Douglas Gillispie, 68, of Kingsville, Mo. died Saturday, March 30 at his home.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13 at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden, Mo. Burial with military honors will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, Mo.
He was born Nov. 4, 1944 in Charleston, W.Va. the son of James Earl and Ruth Ann (Harold) Gillispie.
James married Laura Margaret Halliday in Columbia, Mo. on April 7, 1973. Gillispie was a computer technician for EBE in Kansas City, Mo. and lived in Independence before moving to Kingsville in 1987.
He leaves his wife Laura, of the home; one son, Brian Douglas Gillispie, of Coralville, Iowa; and one sister, Cheryl Chmidt, of St. Louis, Mo.
Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of Kansas City.
