Dominique Long named Second Team Daktronics All-Region

(BEMIDJI, Minn.) – Mules Basketball senior forward Dominique Long was named to the Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team on Thursday.
The MIAA had five players honored on either the first or second team.
Long was a first team All-MIAA selection and has helped lead the Mules to a 22-7 overall record and MIAA Regular Season and Tournament championships. He leads the team in scoring at 15.1 points per game and also pulls down 4.7 rebounds per game. The Waynesville, Mo. native has scored in double figures 25 times this season.
The Central Region is comprised of three conferences: The MIAA, Great American Conference and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
The Mules open NCAA Tournament play Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. against Harding in Mankato, Minn.
The D2SIDA All-America men’s basketball team is sponsored by Daktronics, In.c, an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The teams are voted on by the members of D2SIDA, NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association.
