(NEW ORLEANS, La.) – The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships are near and the Central Missouri track & field teams earned spots in the top 25 of the USTFCCCA National Computer Rankings.
The Jennies will enter the NCAA Championships as the 10th-ranked team in the country, while the Mules will compete as the No. 17 team on the men’s side.
The Jennies held onto their spot from last week’s rankings, surpassing Sioux Falls (S.D.) who falls to No. 11, while being overtaken by Johnson C. Smith (N.C.), who moves into the top 10 at No. 8.
The Mules improved two spots in the poll, up to No. 17, after dropping in the past two sets of rankings.
On the men’s side, Adams State (Colo.) holds on to the No. 1 spot, while Academy of Art (Calif.) usurps MIAA rival Lincoln for the top rank in the women’s poll.
With nine total entries to the NCAA Championships, the Mules have claimed the seventh-highest total of spots at the Championships, and the most of any program from the MIAA. The Jennies earned seven entries, the tenth-most for any women’s program this season.
This season’s NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships begins Friday, March 8 in Birmingham, Ala.
