Kelly Don Burford

Kelly Don Burford, 51, of Leeton, Missouri, died Monday, Dec. 17, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.
Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Warrensburg, Missouri. A luncheon at Leeton First Baptist Church will follow the graveside service.
Kelly was born July 25, 1967, in Warrensburg, the son of Billy Dean and Loretta Maye (Fowler) Burford. He attended Leeton grade school and high school.
Kelly was united in marriage to Holly Ann White on Sept. 29, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Leeton. Together, they had twins Kalista Ann and Seanna Maye. Kelly also had three stepchildren, Matthew David Keller, of Kansas City, Missouri; Leah Renae, of Chilhowee, Missouri; and Bruce Stewart Spear, of Kansas City.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Leeton.
His most enjoyable moments were spent with his girls, Tuffy and Hot Rod. Kelly loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and he had a passion for restoring older model vehicles. He enjoyed traveling to different states on his favorite purple motorcycle, which he built and custom painted. He attended several different Sturgis Motorcycle Rallies. He won many trophies for best-looking bike and other categories. He also enjoyed relaxing in his recliner and spending hours listening to music and playing his harmonica.
Most of his life, he worked in construction and was most recently working as a laborer for Roy Carlyle.
Survivors include his daughters, Kalista Ann Burford and Seanna Maye Burford, of Leeton; mother, Loretta Burford, of Leeton; sisters, Deborah Deanne Bodenhamer and husband, Gary, of Leeton; and Kimberly Sue Tomes and husband, Jim, of Jones, Oklahoma; brother, Darryl Dean Burford and wife, Teresa, of Leeton; several nieces and nephews and three stepchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Dean Burford; his stepfather, Donald Eugene Burford; and a great-niece, Brijae De’Andrea Carpenter.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kelly Burford Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Loretta Burford and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home.
