Lorraine E. Witherspoon, 79, of Warrensburg, died Oct. 21 at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Oct. 25 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with the Rev. Charles Brandt officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery, north of Warrensburg.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Lorraine was born Aug. 8, 1939, at Rock Island, Illinois, daughter of Clarence and Nora Allison. She was united in marriage to Harrison Witherspoon on June 25, 1984. She was a resident of Brumley, Illinois and Camdenton, Missouri, prior to moving to Warrensburg.
Throughout her working years, Lorraine cleaned hotel rooms, was a restaurant cook and a school crossing guard. She participated in bible study at First Christian Church with her friend, Sadie Mapes. She loved being around children and serving people.
Lorraine is survived by her sister, Janet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison and her sister, Lucille.
