The Warrensburg Parks and Recreation Department recently installed two shade shelters and wheelchair-accessible picnic tables at the dog park at Cave Hollow Park.
The Old Drum’s Best Friends Dog Park Committee purchased the picnic tables, sunscreens and benches with money received from donations and memorial brick sales, according to Dodee Matthews, parks director. The cost for the project was: $1,885 for the benches; $1,889 for tables; and $3,960 for shade structures.
The facility is open from dawn to dusk year-round when Cave Hollow is open. Old Drum’s Best Friends Dog Park opened in 2015.
For more information about the dog park or to donate to the committee’s memorial brick path campaign, visit olddrumsbestfriendsdogpark.com or call 660-747- 7178.
