Larry Beard

Larry Keith Beard, 74, of Holden, Missouri, died on Nov. 21 in his home.
Memorial services will be held on Nov. 27 at 3 p.m., at Forward Community Church in Holden, with Pastor Dwight Decker officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Larry Beard to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.
Larry was born February 6, 1942 in Mt. Carmel, Indiana, to Herman Beard and Gladys (Jones) Beard. Larry married Catherine Pennypacker July 30, 1965 in Marengo, Ohio. Larry worked as an over the road truck driver for Hodges, in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Larry and Catherine moved to Holden about six years ago and attended Forward Community Church in Holden.
He is survived by his wife Catherine of the home; one son Larry Beard, of College Station, Texas; two daughters, Helen Beard, of College Station, Angela Love and husband Mark of Holden; three brothers, Don Beard, of Pine Hurst, Texas, Jack Beard, of Dallas, Texas, Del Beard, of Farmington, New Mexico; three sisters, Fletta Mason and husband Ralph, of Cambridge, Ohio, Caroline Embrey and husband Harold of Evansville, Indiana, Rita Havely and husband Bernard, of Dallas, Texas, and two grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by two sister in-laws, Roxanne Beard and Gwen Beard.
