Jennies soccer top seed in Central Region, hosts first and second rounds

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) — Jennies soccer (15-2-4) was named the top seed in the NCAA-II Central Region and will host the Central Region 1 Tournament.
The tournament begins Friday and is the Jennies’ third straight appearance in the NCAA-II Tournament.
The Central Region is divided into Central Region 1 and 2. The Jennies’ region consists of Minot State (15-3-3), the five seed, and Southwestern Oklahoma State (17-0-1), the four seed.
The Jennies have a first-round bye by virtue of being the top seed and will face the winner of the first round match between Minot State and Southwestern Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. Sunday at the South Recreation Complex.
The first round match between Southwestern Oklahoma State and Minot State will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the South Recreation Complex.
Central Region 2 will be hosted by Minnesota State, the second seed. The Mavericks will battle the winner of the Central Oklahoma and Fort Hays State first-round match at The Pitch at Gage Towers in Mankato, Minn.
If the Jennies advance to the round of 16, they would face the winner of Central Region 2 at the site of one of two remaining teams in the Midwest Regional.
University of Central Missouri students who wish to attend the Jennies second round match at 1 p.m. Sunday will receive free admission on a first-come, first-serve basis. UCM students must present a valid student ID.
