Ludie Lorene Todd

Ludie Lorene Todd, 87, of Holden, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 12 at Holden Manor Care Center.
Funeral services are 3 p.m. today at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden with David Todd and Scott Todd as the officiants. Pallbearers are Brian Todd, Mark Todd, Eric Todd, Chris Todd, Danny Todd and Charles Todd. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery in Holden. Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. today.
She was born March 8, 1925 in Elk City, Okla., the daughter of Arthur A. and Millie Mae (Snowden) Russell. Ludie graduated from Elk City High School in 1943 and finished nurses training at Independence Sanitarium in Independence, Mo., in 1947. She worked as a registered nurse for 44 years.
She married Leo H. Todd Aug. 14, 1948 in Independence. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1983. She had lived in the Holden community the past 58 years and was a member of the Holden Community of Christ Church.
She is survived by five sons, Fred Todd, Kansas City, Mo., Larry Todd, Versailles, Mo., Mike Todd, Turney, Mo., David Todd, Independence, Mo., and Mark Todd, Holden; two daughters, Millie Todd, Columbus, Miss., and Nina Enix, Holden; one brother, Arthur Nathan Russell, Independence; numerous, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a few great-great-grandchildren.
