Leslie R. Oberlin, 72 of Latour, Missouri, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at his residence.

Memorial graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville with Thomas Wilson, aka Tommy Gray Eagle, officiating. Full military graveside honors will be provided by Warrensburg Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2513 and American Legion, Post 131.
Les was born Sept. 9, 1942, in Lebanon, Missouri, the son of Ray H. and Mary K. Oberlin. Following graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Kansas City following many years of service. For the past 20 years, Les had been a resident of Latour. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and his passion was Native American crafts.
He is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Rutskowski and Kimberly Batts; and a son, Kevin Oberlin. He was preceded in death by both parents and a sister, Mary B. Oberlin.
Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
