Marjorie Anna LaNier

Marjorie Anna LaNier, 89, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Tuesday, July 22, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden, Missouri. Interment will follow in Kingsville Cemetery in Kingsville, Missouri.
Marjorie was born June 11, 1925, in Homewood, Kansas, a daughter of John R. and Elizabeth Mable (Caple) Fletcher. She married Richard LaNier on May 20, 1945, in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 2000. Mrs. LaNier worked as a telephone operator in Ottawa and she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa.
Surviving her are one son, William E. LaNier in Texas; three daughters, Shirley A. Brown of Ottawa; Vivian Nielson of Dadeville, Alabama; and Peggy Fogarty of Lansing, Kansas; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
