Focus group to study street access

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – The city is organizing a focus group to review a draft right-of-way access management policy.
The group is scheduled to meet at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 in the City Council chambers at 200 S. Holden Street. The meeting is open to the public.
An access management policy would help regulate the location, type and spacing of driveways, street intersections and interchanges, medians and frontage or service roads, according to a news release. The idea is to create a policy that is consistent with the recommendations from the City Wide Traffic Study completed in 2009. The policy would apply to all city streets.
The new policy would be implemented over time as redevelopment or development of vacant land occurs, according to the news release.
A copy of the draft policy can be found on the city’s website at www.warrensburg-mo.com. Comments can be provided by e-mail through the website, by contacting city staff or in person at the focus group.
