Larry Wayne Criss

Larry Wayne Criss, 54 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
Services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, Mo.
Larry was born July 23, 1959 in Warrensburg, the son of William E. and Donna S. (Summers) Criss. Following graduation from Warrensburg High School, he moved to Kansas City, Mo., where he worked for Wells Fargo for a brief time. He then moved back to Warrensburg and was a chef at Hero’s Restaurant. Later, he moved to Paynesville, Ohio, where he cooked at an extended care facility. More recently, he moved to Geneva, Ohio, where he was a chef and manager at the “No Name” Restaurant. Due to health reasons, Larry eventually retired and returned to Warrensburg. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of the Boy Scouts, having served as a chaplain at one time. He was also a member of the Masons, Corinthian Lodge #265 AF & AM as well as Fraternal Order of the Beaver of North America and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his father and stepmother: William and Gloria Criss of Warrensburg; step brother, Galen Corbett and wife, Teresa of Warrensburg; two step sisters; Connie Rock and husband, Mike of Richardson, TX and Pamela Giabbai and husband, Bob of Overland Park, Kan.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna and his sister, Linda Criss.
