The annual Johnson County 5K Heart Walk, sponsored by UCM’s Alpha Phi Sorority, begins at 6 p.m. Friday at the Warrensburg Middle School football stadium.
Tents and balloon arches will be set up at the stadium to guide participants to the entrance.
The Heart Walk raises awareness for heart disease, but also raises money to support research to develop lifesaving medical technologies. To donate or sign up for the Heart Walk, visit in-person and register upon arrival. There will be designated donation tents set up within the stadium.
