Billie “Frances” Maddux

Billie “Frances” Maddux, 87, of Knob Noster, Missouri died April 14 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Funeral Services were 2 p.m. , April 18 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with Rev. Charles Brant officiating. Interment followed at Clear Fork Cemetery North of Garden City. Pallbearers were George Cromer, Joe Cromer, Rusty Cromer, Buddy Judd, Carl Wayne Geisler and Michael Browning.
The family received friends from 1 p.m. until service time, Thursday at the funeral home.
Frances was born October 17, 1931 in Harrisonville, daughter of Leo L.  Long and Mary Martha (Slenker) Long.  She graduated from Chilhowee High School, Class of ’49. She was united in marriage to William J. Maddux on March 26, 1950 in Warrensburg.  The couple resided in Chilhowee for a brief time prior to moving to Holden in 1958.  In 1968, the couple moved to Kansas City.  They eventually settled in Centerview.  They moved to Knob Noster in December of 1970.  She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, #4195 and American legion , Post #131.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Tina “Colleen” Maddux of Knob Noster; (2) sister-in-laws,  Evelyn Clinger of Holden and Mary Alice (Clifford) George of Norris, Missouri and brother-in-law, Carl Geisler of Blairstown, Missouri.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to Billie Frances Maddux Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
