Sedellah Mattox, 86, of Holden, Mo., died Monday, June 17 at Holden Manor Care Center in Holden.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 12, 1926 in Fristoe, Mo., the daughter of Nay and Audrey Lillian (Rush) Hathaway. She had lived in Culver City, Calif.; Independence, Marshall, Sweet Springs and Pleasant Hill, Mo., before returning to Holden 10 years ago. She was a member of Strasburg Baptist Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving her passing are one daughter, Sharron Lynn Johnson, of Kingsville, Mo.; a step-daughter, Dawn Renee Bentley, of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Millie Seigismund, of Savanna, Mo.; and Nadine Pearl Scarborough, of Climax Springs, Mo.; a grandson, Robert Scott Foley; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Johnson County Hospice or Holden Manor Care Center.
