Goldie Ellen Witter

Goldie Ellen Witter, 81, of Birmingham, Mo., died May 4 at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral Services will take place at noon Tuesday, May 7 at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden, Mo.
Interment will follow at Holden Cemetery.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the service begins at noon.
She was born Sept. 15, 1931 in Chilhowee, Mo. the daughter of the late Robert and Nora (Steward) Gregory.
On Sept. 15, 1949 she married Charles Elza Witter, who preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2010.
She lived in Raytown, Blackburn, Kansas City, and Osceola, Mo. Goldie worked at Sears, owned and operated Blackburn Tavern, was a bookkeeper at Odorite and retired to Osceola, Mo.
She lived with her sister, Mary Ann Green, in Birmingham, Mo. following her husband’s death. Goldie enjoyed tole painting, crocheting afghans and character dolls. She loved to watch and care for wildlife, and treasured the family pets.
Survivors include two adopted children, Georgia Leah Jones and Donny, of Lebanon Mo., and Cameron Royce Witter, of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and one sister, Mary Ann Green, of North Kansas City, Mo.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James Elmer Gregory.
Memorials are suggested to NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
