Mabel Anna Golladay

Mabel Anna Golladay, 91, of Holden, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 26 at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, Mo.
Graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at Holden Cemetery, in Holden, Mo., with the Rev. Jason Ku. Pallbearers are Russell Braun, Lori Edmondson, David Bryant, Anthony Smith, Timothy Smith and Carl White. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden.
She was born Jan. 5, 1921 in Holden, a daughter of Martin and Christina (Miller) Larsen. She graduated from Holden High School and attended UCM in Warrensburg. During WWII, she worked at Lake City Ammunition Plant.
She married William Lew Golladay on Dec. 27, 1960 in Holden. She worked as an office secretary several years at Golladay Motors in Holden and later for Missouri Public Service Company in Holden. She had been a member of Elm Spring Baptist Church for much of her life. For the last several years, she had been a member of First Presbyterian Church in Holden.
Mabel faced the adversities of her illness with grace, dignity and determination. She was an inspiration to all who loved her.
Surviving her passing are three daughters, Mary Beth Carlyle, of Bella Vista, Ark., Rita White, of Knob Noster, Mo., and Tina Smith, of Overland Park, Kan.; one brother, Raymond Larsen and wife, Marie, of LaPine, Ore.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
