Roy Wayne Whaley, 70, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Sunday, Jan. 28, at his home.He was born March 26, 1947, in Brookfield, Missouri, the son of Fracis E. and Mary Jane (Campion) Whaley.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment followed in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
On May 14, 1989, he and Mary Loy Pfaff were united in marriage in Warrensburg. Roy is survived by his wife, Mary, of Warrensburg; a daughter, Michelle Smith and significant other, John Rodabaugh, of Drexel, Missouri; a son, John Prince, of Warrensburg; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sue McGinnis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Roy Whaley Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Mary Lou Whaley and can be left in care of the funeral home.
