(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – Terrence Moody, executive director of Manna Harvest and pastor of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist church, wants to “do something about nothing.”
That’s why he created The Nothing Can, a new fundraiser for Manna Harvest, a program ran out of the church to help people with food insecurities, such as the Nehemia Feeding Program.
The Nehemia Feeding Program runs through the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and serves a meal every weekday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and on Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m.
Manna Harvest has many other programs that also help with food insecurity within our community. Moody said he hopes the Nothing Can will be a useful fundraiser for them to help keep their programs run smoothly.
The Nothing Can is literally a can to fill up with change, and is available to purchase for $5 at many organizations around Warrensburg and UCM. It can then be filled with change to bring back to Manna Harvest at the Shilo Baptist Church.
“Anybody can do it,” Moody said. “All it takes is a desire to help and a heart to serve.”
Zach Nowlin contributed to this video.
