Beatrice Ludlam, age 80, of Warrensburg, died Friday, Nov. 24,  at Ridge Crest Nursing Center.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov.r 29, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Reverend Lori Stevens officiating. An Order of the Eastern Star ceremony was at 10:30 a.m. preceding funeral service. Interment will follow in the Higginsville Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 20, 1937, in Dunksburg, Missouri, the daughter of Loid Edgar and Minnie Beatrice (Fortner) Rice. On Dec. 31, 1955, she and Eddie Martin Ludlam were united in marriage near Warrensburg.
Beatrice is survived by two sons, Len Ludlam and wife, Kathy, of Warrensburg, and Rusty Ludlam and wife, Mary, of O’Brien, Florida; and a sister, Helen Green of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eddie and a brother, Junior Rice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital for Children and can be left in care of the funeral home.
