Wanda Moore

Wanda Frances Moore died Feb. 28.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 3, at 2 p.m. at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, followed by interment at Pisgah Cemetery.
Wanda was born Jan. 7, 1934, near Warrensburg, Missouri, to Joseph Wesley and Geraldine Scott Moore. After graduating from Holden High School, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and worked most of her adult life there in the offices of Sutherland Lumber Company.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Scott Moore; father, Joseph Wesley Moore; stepmother, Katherine Mohler Moore; sister, Joanne Moore Anderson; nephew, Joe Anderson; and brother-in-law, James Anderson, Jr.
She is survived by brother, Joe Mark Moore, and wife, Juanita Moore; their children Sara Moore Butler and family of Holden, Missouri; Joshua Daniel Moore and sons, of Oklahoma; Lucas Moore and sons, of Holden. Also left to recall family memories are nieces, Susan Anderson, of Seneca, Illinois; Margie Anderson Little, of Rollo, Illinois; and Lisa Anderson Ramsey, of Morris, Illinois. Illinois nephews surviving are James Anderson III, of Peru, Illinois, and Jerry Anderson, of Streator, Illinois; seven great nieces and nephews, Casey, Michael, Karissa, Aubrie, Shauna, Kohl and Zach. Four great-great nieces, Riley, Teagan, Talia, Layla and one great-great nephew, Noah, as well as Missouri cousins of the area.
Some of Wanda’s last words were: “I try to keep smiling.” She was a Christian.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Pisgah Cemetery in memory of Wanda Moore. Friends may call Friday March 3, from 1-2 p.m. at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.
