Morris Wayne Wallace

Morris Wayne Wallace, 69, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Nov. 17, at Johnson County Care Center in Warrensburg.
Memorial services with military honors are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
Morris was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Warrensburg to Wymer Wallace and Frances (Hardin) Wallace. Morris served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he was wounded during combat operations. Morris received for his service the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, RVN Campaign Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, and a Good Conduct Medal.
Surviving his passing are two sons, Morris Wayne Wallace III, of Huntsville, Missouri; Lamar Ray Wallace, of St. Louis; one daughter, Renita (Wallace) Franklin and husband, Kenneth, of Knob Noster, Missouri; two sisters, Arleta Jennings, of Kansas City, Missouri; and Joyce Hardin, of Clifton, New Jersey; one niece, Anjanette Long and husband, Gregory; one nephew, Morgan Jennings and wife, Brittney; one great-niece, Jaleea Harris; great-nephew Isaiah Jennings; cousin Gloria Marshall; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Willa Jean Hardin.
Arrangements entrusted to Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home in Holden.
