James Carver

James Edward Carver, 75, of Holden, died Oct. 31, at his home.

James was born Nov. 8, in Milo Maine, to Eleazer Carver and Thelma (Bushey) Carver. On Oct. 12, 1970, James married Mary Vaughan. James was an over the road truck driver for many years and served in the United States Air Force. James enjoyed drinking coffee at Strate’s Drive Inn and talking about truck diving.

James is survived by his wife, Mary; seven sons, Chris Carver and wife Clara, David Carver, James Carver Jr, Dusty Carver, Stoney Carver, Rusty Carver and wife Jill, Rocky Carver and wife Dez; three daughters, Karen Williams, Sharon Weeks, and Sandy Davis; two brothers, Eleazer Carver and wife Mary Lou, Richard Carver and wife Beth; one sister, Barbara Seaborn. Twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Dixie Carver, and two Grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes or Parkinson Disease Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

Services will be scheduled at a later date. The family will scheduled a memorial service at a later date.       

Arrangements entrusted to Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden, Missouri.
