Paul changed career direction and after a special job assignment in Eugene, Oregon, where he became the Director of Distribution for Coast-to-Coast in Crawfordsville, Indiana in 1975.  Their son, Aaron was born there in 1977.  Paul and Peggy were active members of Christ Lutheran Church in Crawfordsville.  Paul returned to Minneapolis with Coast-to-Coast Stores in 1982, and was an elder at Open Arms Christian Fellowship in Minneapolis.  1989 brought the family to Sedalia, MO, where Paul was the Distribution Center Manager for Payless Cashways.  The family was active in Antioch Fellowship Church.  A job change for Peggy brought them to South Kansas City in 2003, where Paul worked at the Dillard’s Oak Park Mall store.  He retired in 2013, and spent time in continuing genealogy research, gardening, enjoying time with his grandchildren, serving as a deacon at Leawood Baptist Church, and vacationing with Peggy.  Three weeks after a diagnosis of pancreatic and liver cancer, Paul and Peggy renewed their wedding vows at home on their 45th anniversary, Sept. 11, 2016, surrounded by family.  Paul’s greatest delight was spending time with his family.
