Memorial Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, Missouri with Rev. Robert Schaper officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Sally was born in Klameth Falls, Oregon on Feb. 12, 1934. She was the daughter of John and Beatrice Ohls. Sally married Robert Keith Raines on March 12, 1961 in Kansas City, Kansas. The couple made their home in Centerview. Sally was the owner and operator of Sally’s Cafe for 25 years, until she retired to work in her flower garden and to play with her grandchildren.
Sally was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, a wonderful gardener, an incredible cook and she was a firecracker. She loved to play cards and hang with her best dog companion Jack. Sally shared so much of herself through teaching others how to cook, how to garden, and how to play a multitude of card games. Sally leaves a legacy of laughter and fun through her lifetime of memories and service.
Sally is survived by her three sons: Donald McCune and his wife Stacey, Ronald D. McCune and his wife Mary, and John D. McCune all of Centerview; her dog, Jack; 12 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren with two more on the way, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Keith in 2010, both her parents; her bothers Donald, Jimmy and John; and her sister Alice.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Warrensburg Veterans Home.
