Norma Faye Price

Norma Faye Price, 82, of Holden, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, Mo.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at First Baptist Church in Holden, led by Pastor Justin Locke, with interment in Elm Spring Cemetery, Kingsville, Mo. Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Friday at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden.
Musicians will be Gary Hackett and Jolan Smith, duet; and Helen Kinney, accompanist. Pallbearers are Richard Petering, Lloyd Stever, Aubrey VanMeter, Jr., Roy Ryan, Dennis Prock and Tom Nichols. Honorary pallbearers are Marvin Cooper, Stanley Stark, Herb Fender, John VanMeter, Jim Ailor and Bill Long.
She was born in Elm, Mo., on Aug. 16, 1930 the daughter of Evert Henry and Alma Edna (Maloney) Rowland. Norma graduated from Holden High School and attended the University of Central Missouri. She taught in rural Johnson County Schools four years, worked as a bookkeeper/accountant for an insurance company in Kansas City four years, and served as elementary school secretary and teachers aide in Kingsville for eight years.  She married Arly Lynn Price on June 26, 1955.
Norma was a member of First Baptist Church in Holden. She had worked in the children’s department, the WMU, G.A.s, sang in the choir, taught Bible school, and children and adult Sunday school more than 30 years. She also worked in PTA and the Work and Play 4-H club, built many floats for those groups, and enjoyed gardening.
She leaves her husband, Lynn, of the home; three nieces, Donna Campbell, Karen Hand, and Donna Baker; three great nephews, Stacey and Tracy Campbell, and Derek Werner; and two great nieces, Tami Polanco and Dana Werner; and four great-great nephews and one great-great niece.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Baptist Children’s Home.
