Claude Ray Dechman

Claude Ray Dechman, 77, of Oak Grove, Missouri, died Oct. 15, at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Claude was born Sept. 8, 1938, to Theodore Dechman Jr. and Anna Opal (Hightower) Dechman. Claude retired from Stahl Specialty Company where he spent most of his career as purchasing manager. Claude also was a farmer most of his life. Claude served in the United States Navy 1956 to 1959.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Dechman Jr. and Anna Opal Dechman; one daughter, Dana Raynes; and one brother. Surviving his passing are his wife, Nila Dechman, of the home; one son, Gary Dechman, and wife, Beth, of Lee’s Summit; one brother, five sisters and four grandchildren. He also leaves his two beloved dogs, Annie and Andrew.
A private service will be scheduled by the family at a later date.
Interment will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri, with military honors.
Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Claude R. Dechman to the Kingsville School District.
