Judy K. DesCombes, 66, of Lake Lotawana, Missouri, died Friday, June 26, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg with Father John Bolderson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, at Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
She was born July 8, 1948, in St. Louis County, Missouri, the daughter of Calvin and Gertrude (Mann) Manley.
She was united in marriage to Ron DesCombes on Dec. 3, 1978, at Lake Lotawana.
Judy was a graduate of E.P. Worth Academy in Webster Grove, Missouri. She worked as an executive secretary for Commercial Union Insurance in Kansas City, Missouri, for several years. Judy then worked as a secretary for 21 years at Milton Moore and Trailwoods Elementary Schools in the Kansas City, Missouri, Public School District. She was also active in Boy Scout Troop 251 along with her husband, Ron, for 10 years and was a past member of the Missouri Yacht Club at Lake Lotawana.
Judy is survived by her husband, Ron; two sons, Nicholas DesCombes and wife, Tina, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and Jay Quick Jr. and wife, Shannon, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; four grandchildren, Nico DesCombes and Gia DesCombes; Calob Quick and Bobbie Sue Quick; three brothers, Chester Manley, of Kansas City, Tom Manley, of San Antonio, Texas, and Rick Manley, of Washington, Missouri; and two sisters, Ann Sampson, of Greenwood, Missouri, and Martha Manley, of Washington, Missouri.
