Arthur “Kent” Stonum

Arthur “Kent” Stonum, 72 of Holden, Missouri, formerly of Lee’’s Summit and Lake Lotawana, Missouri, died Saturday, Jan. 17, at his home.
Arthur -Kent- StonumKent was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Lee’’s Summit, Missouri, the son of Bruce C. and Gladys L. (Leach) Stonum. He was raised at Lake Lotawana. He graduated from Lee’’s Summit High School, class of 1961. Kent was united in marriage to Barbara A. Harrington on June 30, 1962, at Lake Lotawana. The couple moved to Lee’’s Summit in 1985. They have lived in the Holden and Kingsville area since 1995. Kent was a union pipefitter by trade. He was an avid water skier. He was a member of Lake Lotawana Ski Team. He was also a member of Tribe of Mic-O-Say and Pipefitter’s local No. 533. Kent was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Paul Bruce (Kathleen) Stonum of Shallowater, Texas; and Scott Tyler (John) Stonum, of Breckenridge, Colorado; daughter, Kathy Ann (Darren) Kilgore, of Holden; five grandchildren, Dallas Stonum, Emma Stonum, Karley (Greg) Whenham, Dani Kilgore and Dakota Kilgore; great-grandson, Kamdyn Whenham; sister-in-law, Kay White of Holden; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents and four brothers, Clifford, George, Bruce and John.
