Jamie Leigh (Garrett) Hatfield

Jamie Leigh (Garrett) Hatfield, 51, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Lee’’s Summit Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor Bud McCleskey of Coleman Baptist Church in Peculiar, Missouri, officiating. Interment will follow in the Holden Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Jamie was born Sept. 7, 1962, in Warrensburg, Missouri, the daughter of Dr. James Sims Garrett and Helen I. (Anderson) Garrett. She graduated from Holden High School. She resided in Harrisonville for the past 30 years. She was employed with Cass County Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville for the past 30-plus years. She was director of medical records at the time of her passing. Her duties included being a HIPPA officer. She enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, attending her sons’’ sporting events and, most of all, being a grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey M. Hatfield, of the home; two sons, Derek Schlotzhauer and wife, Bailee, of Harrisonville; and Austin Schlotzhauer and wife, Molly, of Belton, Missouri; stepson, Jeffrey Hatfield, of the home; her mother, Helen Garrett of Holden, Missouri; sister, Pamela Lukenbill and husband, Jeffery, of Harrisonville; and three grandchildren, Hunter Schlotzhauer, Brody Schlotzhauer and Maverick Schlotzhauer. She was preceded in death by her father.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Jamie Hatfield Memorial Fund (to go toward purchasing a park bench at Cass County Regional Medical Center) in care of the funeral home.
