Frank Vernon Horner II

Frank Vernon Horner II, 83, of Mission, Kansas, died Thursday, July 24, at home.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. July 28, at the Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 28, at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden, Missouri. Interment will follow in Holden Cemetery.
Frank was born June 12, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri, a son of Frank Vernon and Gertrude (Brown) Horner. He married Ruby Odell Baker on Aug. 9, 1952, in Salem, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on Oct. 9, 2003.
Surviving his passing is his son, Frank J. Horner of Lathrop, Missouri; son, Richard D. Horner of Holden, Missouri; daughter, Martha Smith of Marshall, Missouri; Virginia D. Horner of Lathrop; and brother, James B. Horner of Mission. His daughter, Janice Shields, preceded him in death.
Frank was a member of the Roeland Park First United Methodist Church in Roeland Park, Kansas.
