JoAnn Theresa Trunnels

JoAnn Theresa Trunnels of Holden, Missouri, 70, died Thursday, July 24, at home surrounded by family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden. 
JoAnn was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1944. She graduated from Monroe High School in Northride, California, in 1962. JoAnn and her husband, Ted Trunnels, were married June 23, 1962.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Ted, of the home; daughter, Kimberly Trunnels-Raley, and husband, David, of Holden; daughter, Tammie Dunlap of Centerview, Missouri; son, Theodore Trunnels and wife, Jennifer, of Reno, Nevada; brother, Jack Skillman of Independence, Missouri; along with 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Dean of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; mother, Josephine Skillman of Holden; and brother, David Skillman of Palm Springs, California.
JoAnn was a giving person in life and continued that with her death. She has donated her body to help with research and teaching medical students. It was her wish that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to KU Endowment: 3901 Rainbow Boulevard, Mail Stop 3012, Kansas City, KS 66160 to benefit liver cancer research.
