Curtis Wayne DesCombes, 79, of Avondale, Arizona, formerly of Mexico, Missouri, died July 17.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, at Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton, Missouri, with Brother Charles Brant officiating and under the direction of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri.
He was born April 25, 1935, in Leeton, the son of Stanley Thomas and Eunice C. DesCombes.
Mr. DesCombes was an educator at Auga Fria High School for over 35 years. He was an accomplished educator, having received numerous awards including coach of the year several times and recognition for his professional accomplishments. He coached his baseball teams to two state championships.
Mr. DesCombes is survived by his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Ron DesCombes, Nicholas DesCombes, Judy Sullivan-Jellison and Beverly Hammond; and his life-long friends, Frank and Theresa Rogers; Carl and Ginny Altrogge; and Sid and Chris Landon.
