Carol J. Stock

Carol J. Stock, 81, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Saturday, May 24, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with the Rev. Phillip Ortiz officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Carol was born Nov. 16, 1932, in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of O. B. and Ruby “Juanita” (Morris) Johns. She had resided in numerous communities throughout the United States over the years. She moved to Knob Noster in 1986. Carol was united in marriage to William J. Stock on April 19, 1992, in Warrensburg. The couple had made Warrensburg their home for the past several years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was an award winning oil and water painting artist. Carol was also a tole painter, having authored several books on the subject. She was an avid quilter. She taught quilting classes at one time and she was a member of The Inspired Quilters Guild. She was also proficient at deer hunting.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; two daughters, Edith Ellen Pringle and husband, Jeff Harrison, of Neosho, Missouri; and Susan Lynn Ilsley and husband, Don, of San Diego, California; three sons, Edgar E. Pringle and wife, Shelley, of Organ, N.M.; Jonathan Pringle and wife, Anita, of Warrensburg; and Brian William Stock and wife, Rena, of San Diego; a half sister, Betty J. Haworth of Gautier, Mississippi; nine grandchildren and seven-great grandchildren.
