Inge Hoffman Dice, 77, of Warrensburg, Mo., died on May 15 at Ridge Crest Nursing Center in Warrensburg after an 18-year battle with breast cancer.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with Pastor Joel Kurz of Bethlehem Lutheran church officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24 at Wamsley Cemetery near Cameron, Mo., under the direction of Poland – Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. 
Inge was born Dec. 26, 1936, in Rengsdorf, Westerwald, Germany, to Karl Hoffmann and Berta E. Jung. She grew up in war-torn Germany. In 1944, her father was drafted into the army and served as a medic on the eastern front. He was captured and placed in a Russian POW Camp for five years.
Inge continued her school work and, in 1953, she was selected to be an exchange student to Pandora, Ohio. After her year in the U.S., she returned to Germany and worked as a secretary at a large steel manufacturing business. After a few years, she decided to become a translator and studied at a Cambridge University facility in London to obtain her credentials. At Christmas in 1958, Inge was home and one of her Pandora, Ohio, classmates was in Germany. The classmate wanted to visit her, but she didn’’t have a car so she and her husband enlisted Will to drive them to see Inge. Well, Will kept coming back to see Inge. She returned to London and came home for Easter vacation at which time Will and Inge decided to marry.
Will and Inge spent 55 years together and traveled the world. Some countries they visited were: Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Austria, Spain, Japan, Phillippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. When they retired, they moved to Warrensburg and lived in the same house for 36 years. She was a homemaker and avid bridge player.
Inge is survived by her husband, Will; brother, Karl-Georg of Germany; and many nieces and nephews.
