Betty Jean Becker

Betty Jean Becker, 84, of Warrensburg, Mo., died Friday, March 14, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for children, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving and sweet wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. A member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Warrensburg, Betty was an avid seamstress and doll collector.
Betty was born on April 29, 1929, in Lindsborg, Kan., the daughter of John E. and Bertha (Wallerstedt) Nelson. She graduated from Marquette High School. She was united in marriage to Charlie Becker on Aug. 25, 1951, in Lindsborg, Kan. They resided in Wichita, Kan.; Lindsborg, Kan.; Grandview, Mo.; and Warrensburg, their home of 34 years.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie, of the home; her son, Charles Dean Becker, of Warrensburg; her daughter, Jeannie Kay (Becker) Peterson and Rick, of Warrensburg; four grandchildren, Erick Peterson (Patricia) of Kansas City, Mo.; Amy Peterson of Warrensburg; Ryan and Sydney Becker of Blue Springs, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Justin Peterson, Ian Peterson and Audrey Bowland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Juanita Westblade; and her brothers, John Nelson and Norman Nelson.
