Hazel Irene Calhoon

Hazel Irene Calhoon, age 87, of Warrensburg, died Friday, September 27, at Kindred Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, at the Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Brother Charles Brant officiating.
The family will receive friends from Tuesday at 1 p.m. until service time at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society and can be left in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. Calhoon was born October 28, 1925, in Fort Smith, Ark., the daughter Melvin and Margarette (Phillips) Spangler.
She was united in marriage to Lester Calhoon.
After graduating from high school, Hazel worked as a seamstress at Unitog in Warrensburg.
Hazel is survived by four sons, Kenneth Jordan and wife Donna, Elmer Lee Jordan and wife Linda, Vernon Calhoon and wife Jennifer, Glenn Calhoon and wife Sandy; one daughter, Libbie Barrow and husband Eldon, twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
