William Gale Yoder

William Gale Yoder, 69, of Licking, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 5, on the farm south of Holden.
He was born February 22, 1944 in Quick City, Mo. the son of James Levi and Beverly Maxine (Newman) Yoder.  He graduated from Holden High School in 1962 and earned Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Missouri, Columbia.  Bill was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era.  On November 2, 1969 he married Martha Kay Garrett in Fort Gordon, Georgia.
Bill had lived in Licking since 1976 where he was the Director of the George O. White State Forest Nursery, a member of the Christian Church, a member of the Piney River Covey of Quail Forever, and a member of the Big Piney Sportsman Club,
He leaves his wife, Martha; one daughter, Lynda Gail Shelton, Cabool, Mo.; one brother, James Yoder, Lenexa, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services and Military Honors will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Medford Cemetery, Holden, MO, under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden, Mo.
