Concordia woman hurt in car accident

(JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo., digitalBURG) – A Concordia woman suffered moderate injuries after an accident Saturday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 50 and county Road Northwest 271, west of Warrensburg, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Katherine Roberts, 23, was traveling westbound when she changed lanes and slowed down to make a left turn in front of a vehicle driven by Taylor Derrick, 32, of Centerview, Mo.
Derrick could not avoid contact with Robert’s car, according to Highway Patrol reports.
Roberts was transported to Lee’s Summit Medical Center. Derrick was not injured.
Both were wearing seat belts, according to Highway Patrol reports.
