SpoFest hosts poetry event in Sedalia

SpoFest is hosting its second Valentine’s reading Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 6:30 to 9 p.m inside the lobby of the Liberty Center Association for the Arts, 111 W. Fifth St. in Sedalia.
The tentative line up of local and area poets includes Connie Koch, Doug Kiburz, James Bryant, Debbie Noland, Faith Bemiss, Lela Merrill, Candice Wagenecht, Deck Savage, Andrea MacDonald, Alyssa Anderson, Mary Ann Bedwell, Ethan J. King and Tony Shaffer. Reading for the first time will be Abe Kropp and Melanie Dees Campbell.
Folk Music and love songs will be performed by Eric and Vicki Walton of Georgetown. There will also be a Mystery Pairs Game and an auction for gift certificates from local area businesses.
SpoFest promotes the writing and public sharing of poetry in the Sedalia area by providing multiple and varied poetry-reading venues throughout the calendar year. To learn more about Spofest please visit: www.spofest.com.
